Federal Revival
This historic charmer began as a renovation and preservation of a classic Federal style Colonial with a well known Boston architect who specializes in a New England timeless classic vernacular. As the project developed, it became a family compound filled with children and pets of all kinds including a full dog kennel, goat quarters, a barn outpost and a chicken coop!

The design story both in millwork and decor, is classic with an eclectic twist and uses lots of color and pattern with much reference to the family's personal lifestyle. The house is large, but it remains cozy, with comfortable overstuffed pieces, many layers and tons of complex patterns piled on top of eachother in a glorious mix.
